The botanical archive
Flowers speak where words hesitate.
A visual archive of floral meanings shaped by culture, emotion, and time.
Flowers have long carried meaning beyond decoration. They appear in moments of love, loss, transition, and silence — often when spoken language feels insufficient.
Hwadam exists to observe and document these meanings, not as fixed rules, but as a living symbolic system shaped by context.

Our blog
A visual archive of floral meanings shaped by culture, emotion, and time.
Hwadam is an independent research and art project dedicated to the language of flowers. It exists between an encyclopedia and a visual archive, collecting interpretations rather than definitions.
Meanings here are layered, contextual, and open to interpretation.
